Discount vs. Professional

Most manufacturers offer “economy” systems, as well as Professional. Economy computers are sold in Discount stores. Professional computers are sold through “Authorized” servicing dealers.

An economy computer normally comes with a “Home basic” operating system. Professional computers come with a Professional OS, like XP-PRO. (It costs $200 to upgrade from Basic to Pro).

With an economy system, support is usually a phone call to India, to talk with someone you can’t understand.

Better components, better OS, local support. The Professional system is a better buy.
